What are Ultra Fine Bubbles (UFB)?
Fine bubbles are much smaller than the bubbles we see everyday, with a diameter of less than 100 μm (= 0.1 mm).
There are two types of ‘fine bubbles’ depending on the size of the bubble: microbubbles and ultra fine bubbles. Bubbles with a diameter of less than 100 μm and more than 1 μm (=0.001 mm) are called ‘micro bubbles’, while smaller bubbles with a diameter of less than 1 μm are called ‘ultra fine bubbles’ (UFB).
Ultra Fine Bubbles have fascinating properties. Water with a large number of ‘ultra fine bubbles’ is clear. Ultrafine bubbles no longer float in the water and rarely dissolve or float unless stimulated, and are reported to have a lifespan of several weeks to several months.
